“We will create a chain that empowers and heals our young women from the negative aspects of social media one school at a time.”

Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization our mission is to empower and heal young women from the negative aspects of social media. Social media often portrays idealized and unrealistic images of beauty, body, and lifestyles, leading to feelings of low self-esteem among young women who may compare themselves unfavorably. Constant exposure can contribute to feelings of jealousy, inadequacy, and social comparison. It is crucial to educate and empower young women to navigate social media consciously and to establish healthy boundaries to mitigate these negative effects. In our class participants explore various techniques and strategies to cultivate healthier relationships with social media. We also offer free educational eBooks and resources for parents and teens.

How we help our girls…
We teach mindfulness techniques to develop self-awareness and recognize the impact of social media on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our class also focuses on specific physical activities that will assist students to release any judgments and insecurities they may have. We are the FIRST to tackle this issue head on using a mind body approach in a school setting. We also offer free educational eBooks for young teens and parents.
Why are we doing this work?
According to a recent study from the CDC reported on Monday, February 13, 2023, nearly three in five teenage girls felt persistent sadness in 2021, double the rate of boys, and one in three girls seriously considered attempting suicide.
The Dove Self-Esteem and Social Media Report (April 2022). Surveying more than 1,000 girls aged 10-17 revealed that 1 in 2 girls say toxic beauty advice on social media causes low self-esteem. 90% of girls in that same study say they follow at least one social media account that makes them feel less beautiful. Over half of girls say they can’t live up to the beauty standards projected on social media. *
